Travel & Venue Information
The conference will be held on the campus of the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). UCSB is located approximately two miles from the Santa Barbara airport (SBA), and about 10 miles from the city center of Santa Barbara. The airport is served by several airlines. All major rental car agencies are represented in Santa Barbara. AMTRAK also has rail connections from both San Francisco and Los Angeles. Santa Barbara is approximately 100 miles (160km) north of the Los Angeles airport and 350 miles (560km) south of San Francisco.
Bring a sweater and/or jacket. Santa Barbara can be cold at night.

Covid Measures
Given the continued rise in cases across the US, we will be requiring attendees to wear masks while inside attending talks. Speakers are exempted from this requirement while they are presenting. Masks will be readily available for anyone who needs one, with options including surgical masks as well as KN95s.
Vaccination status will be checked at registration. If your vaccination is not WHO approved, you will be required to take a rapid antigen test (which will be provided). Rapid antigen tests will also be available to attendees throughout the conference upon request.
We understand that continuing to deal with covid protocols at this stage is very frustrating. We greatly appreciate your cooperation in doing what we can to protect the health of our community while resuming in-person conference activities.
On-Campus Accommodations
On-campus accomodations consist of dormitory rooms (dorms) and a small number of hotel-style rooms at the Club & Guest House. Parking is $8 per day during the week.
Note that children under the age of 13 cannot stay in on-site accommodations, so those bringing younger children will need to make separate arrangements in one of the nearby hotels.

Reasonably priced accommodations are available in the university residence halls (dorms) for conference attendees and their registered guests. These have shared bathrooms for the floor.

Rates: $199 single/double. Parking is $8 per day Monday through Friday, and $4 per day on Saturdays and Sundays.
Well-appointed guest rooms all come with lagoon and ocean views. Conference meeting locations are within a five minute walk from The Guest House.
Any rooms that are not reserved prior to July 12 will automatically be placed back into general inventory. After this date, rooms and rates will be based on availability.

Please be aware that none of the hotels below are within walking distance of the venue. Those who choose to stay off-site are responsible for making their own reservations.
